Supporting women-owned businesses is something many of us care deeply about, but how often do we intentionally make a day of discovering them?

Rather than spending another Saturday crossing errands off your list, gather a few friends and create your own adventure through your community. Start with coffee at a local café, browse an independent bookstore, explore a boutique you’ve never entered, stop at a maker’s market, and enjoy lunch at a woman-owned restaurant you’ve been meaning to try.

The real reward isn’t what you buy. It’s what you learn. Every business has a story. Every owner has taken a risk. Every storefront represents countless hours of work, sacrifice, creativity, and persistence that most customers never see.

Make it your mission to have meaningful conversations with five women whose journeys intrigue you. They may be entrepreneurs, artists, nonprofit leaders, authors, educators, community advocates, or women quietly doing remarkable things without seeking recognition.

Ask thoughtful questions and listen with genuine curiosity. You’ll quickly discover that every woman has a story that shaped her, challenged her, or changed her.

The beauty of this challenge is that every woman gets the opportunity to share something she loves while helping others discover something new.
